340 km hiking freedom
When hiking on summer vacation in the Hochkönig region every step leads into nature. Clean mountain air, towering rocks, idyllic pastures, fresh meadows and fabulous views of the mountains - that is balm for the soul. The road network is well signposted and awarded the Austrian Hiking Seal of Approval. The hiking highlight is a 74 km long long-distance hiking trail through the region - the ,,Königsweg”. Another plus of the hiking region is the herb hiking. Free guided hikes are offered in all areas of the region. Experience nature in your hiking holiday with your own feet!
Trail Running Deluxe
At the trail running event of the extra class you walk over gravel, meadows and forest in open terrain. The Hochkönig region is perfect for this with its varied routes and the extraordinary Alpine panorama. Three major trail running events take place each year on the Hochkönig. The most important event is the Hochkönigman with 4 different competitions, which offer a total length of 198 km and 12,639 vertical meters.

Mountain biking in the Hochkönig region is the perfect adventure holiday on two wheels. More than 20 wonderful tours and the Flow One Flow Trail await motivated bikers.
Biking without luggage? Very easy on the ,,Königstour”. The luggage is already waiting in the next accommodation. E-mountain bikes are on the rise. Therefore the Hochkönig area is the world's first region with e-stations for mountainbikes on huts. With the Hochkönig Card both mountain bikers and their bikes ride up the cable car for free and on guided tours with the bike guide.

Climbing and mountaineering on Hochkönig
The Hochkönig is 2,941 m high. Its dimensions are huge in every way. Not in vain has the Hochkönig a legendary reputation among mountaineers. Here, there is everything for hobby mountaineers to the experienced Bergfex everything the climbing heart desires. The varied ascents and routes up to the highest difficulty levels make the Hochkönig a climbing and mountain sports paradise. The high ropes course in Maria Alm also provides variety and fun for climbing.
Salzburg's most beautiful golf course
Located in the midst of a fantastic mountain scenery the Golf course "Urslautal" is probably the most beautiful place to play golf in Salzburg. The high plateau between Saalfelden and Maria Alm creates the perfect backdrop for a special golfing experience. The Steinerne Meer and the Hochkönig in particular look down on the surrounding forests and the beautiful golf course of the GC Urslautal. The Golf sky on earth. If that's not enough, within an hour's drive you will reach 30 more golf courses in the Salzburger Land, Tyrol and the Salzkammergut.

Further attractions in the summer are the tennis courts as well as the swimming pools in the region, which can be used free of charge, the archery course, a mountain cart track, the forest slide park, a slackline park with breathtaking mountain scenery as well as horse riding. Especially children love visiting these attractions.
